What will I be doing as a Teen Health Crew Member?
You will co-teach important topics like self-esteem, bullying and healthy decision-making with a professional educator from Children’s Health Education Center.

Will I teach at Children's Health Education Center or in schools?
Members of the Teen Health Crew assist with in-house programs at CHEC and outreach programs in schools in the metropolitan Milwaukee area.

How old are the children I will teach?
The youngest students are in first grade and the oldest are in high school. A Teen Health Crew member could visit an elementary school one month and visit a high school the next month. It depends on what schools request for programming.

What is the program’s time commitment?
Each Teen Health Crew member must attend a two-hour monthly meeting, typically held on a Sunday, and teach one program a month.

Will I work at the hospital?
Programs are taught at CHEC, located in downtown Milwaukee, or in schools in the metropolitan Milwaukee area.

How many teens are in the program?
Each year, we invite 45 students throughout southeastern Wisconsin to be part of the Teen Health Crew.
