When should visiting groups arrive?
Visiting groups should allow time to check in at the front desk and be seated prior to the time your program is scheduled. Program content and length will need to be shortened for groups that arrive late.

What are the facility accommodations?
Our learning theaters can accommodate up to 60 students and are wheelchair accessible. Storage for coats, backpacks and bagged lunches is available. Our restroom facilities can also accommodate large groups.

Can visiting groups bring lunches to CHEC?
Groups are invited to bring bagged lunches to enjoy in one of our lunchrooms. When scheduling your visit, indicate if you would like to eat lunch at CHEC. The lunchrooms must be booked ahead of time. We reserve the right to combine school groups.

CHEC prides itself on being an educational resource for all students. If your group has special needs, let us know so we can plan to deliver the best learning experience possible.

How long do I have before my confirmation sheet and payment need to be returned?
Signed confirmation forms are due 5 days after you receive them. Payments are due on or before the scheduled program date. Checks or credit cars are accepted. Sorry, we cannot accept cash. If special circumstances arise, we ask that you contact the scheduling assistant at (414) 390-2166 to make alternate arrangements.

How many students and teachers/chaperones can I bring without being charged?
In order to ensure the educational value of our programming, we limit the number of students to 60 per program. However, in some specific cases we can extend the limit to 70 students. The cost per student is $1.00, with a minimum charge of $50.00 per program.

Is there a charge for extra students or teachers/chaperones?
We allow up to 10 adult teachers and chaperones for free of charge. The charge for additional chaperones is $1.00.

Is there a charge to reschedule or change a scheduled field trip?
There is no charge to re-schedule a trip. However, we ask that you do so 24 hours prior to your originally scheduled date. Trips cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or not attended on the originally scheduled date are subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee

How are cancellations handled?
We understand that conflicts arise. Trips cancelled prior to 24 hours of the originally scheduled program are not assessed a fee. Trips cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee.

What do I need to bring on the day of our scheduled field trip?
On the day of your scheduled program, please bring a copy of your confirmation form, as well as the date and number of the check used to pay for your program. When you arrive, you will be asked to provide the number of students and chaperones attending the program. If the number exceeds what was originally confirmed, payment for additional students and/or chaperones will be required when you check in.

Are there separate eating accommodations available for students who need special lunch areas due to allergies?
CHEC is happy to offer eating accommodations for your convenience. We do sanitize our eating areas. However, we cannot guarantee this sanitation will remove all particles which some students may have allergic reactions to. If additional accommodations are needed for students, we will handle those on an individual basis.

Can I register to see more than one program on a given day?
CHEC will make every attempt to accommodate registering your group for more than one program on a given day. A separate confirmation form and payment will be required for each program. Please consider your students' developmental stages and attention spans when considering more than one program a day.

Am I responsible for behavior and discipline throughout my time at CHEC?
Our educators use a variety of techniques for maintaining control of larger groups. However, the visiting teacher is ultimately responsible for redirecting any inappropriate behavior by individual students.
