  A member of Safe Kids Worldwide, Safe Kids Southeast Wisconsin works to prevent childhood accidental injuries, the leading cause of death among children ages 14 and younger. The four-county coalition, including Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha counties, combines the expertise of community agencies and individuals to prevent childhood injuries through collaboration, education, policy and advocacy initiatives.
Safe Kids Southeast Wisconsin
Initiatives include preventing:
  • Bike-related injuries.
  • Injuries to motor vehicle occupants.
  • Falls.
  • Burns.
  • Injuries to pedestrians.
  • Poisonings.
CHEC, a member of Children’s Hospital and Health System, is its lead agency.
